Meet the smiling faces behind CTM’s full-service design team. Individually, they each have specialized expertise and skillsets. Together, they work collaboratively as a single unit to meet the diverse and complex array of essential design needs required of your project.

Devin Mahaffey, A.T.
President / Project Director
As CTM’s President and Project Management lead, Devin is all about developing strong customer relationships and keeping projects moving according to plan. A stickler for process, detail and follow-up – he works hard to ensure projects are on budget, on spec, and on schedule. Should parameters change, you can count on Devin and his team to be right on top of it. Devin is extremely hands-on and is actively involved in most facets of CTM’s production process.
Devin has nearly 20 years of project management and architectural design experience for national brand clients such as Husky Energy, Imperial Oil, Canadian Tire, Mark’s, TDL Group (Tim Hortons), Canada Safeway, and UFA. Over the past decade, he has led various teams of project managers and technical staff on behalf of CTM’s largest clients. Our independent clients also benefit from his wealth of technical and project implementation expertise. As President at CTM Design Services Ltd. and a leader of the senior management team, Devin has played a pivotal role in developing and instituting the CTM Project Management Process™.

Brett Zufelt
Principal/Secretary Treasurer
Since joining CTM as an owner in 1999, Brett has helped build the company into one of Canada’s leading integrated design, engineering, and architectural firms. He’s done so by focusing on the specialized needs of clients in the retail petroleum, QSR, retail and commercial development sectors. Brett has decades of experience advising multi-national oil companies in petroleum marketing, operations, and development.
While you might expect a design firm to be headed up by an engineer or architect, Brett’s background is as a senior retail marketer. He served as VP of Marketing for Calgary Co-op (responsible for grocery, gas, and liquor operations) and as the Ontario Regional Marketing Manager for Turbo Resources Ltd. This has informed CTM’s distinctive approach to design: where the building is fundamental to the bottom-line success of the business contained within. Brett is a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Development Program.
