About CTM

Ademola is a versatile Project Manager with a well-rounded approach to project execution, navigating complex challenges, and providing effective solutions to clients. He is certified both as a Project management professional (PMP), and a Scrum master (CSM) with expertise in predictive, and Agile/Scrum Project management methodologies. Ademola is also a Certified National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO™) with a solid Engineering background. His robust knowledge and exceptional skill set, combined with his result-driven, analytical mindset and dedication to professional growth, make him a balanced Construction Project Manager.

With a Bachelors in Architecture degree combined with Design and Construction Management at Toronto colleges, Anurag couples design with his Project Management experience related to construction coordination.  He achieved his PMP designation in March 2023.

Anurag’s experience includes technical design experience as well as construction management, including working with the on-site teams doing the construction. He’s comfortable and capable of working with all stakeholders, including clients, design team, and on-site project personnel teams.

Drew is a Mechanical Engineer and Business Management Graduate with over 12 years of experience in the petrochemical, fertilizer, and pulp industries. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Project Management. Drew is also a registered engineer with APEGA.

Francisco has been with CTM since 2012 and has over 10 years of experience as an Architectural Designer and team leader. He completed his PMP certification at the University of Calgary and has reached the required hours to pursue his PMP designation. Francisco savors the opportunity to work on projects for our many QSR clients, including Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and Carl’s Jr. In addition, he is a Project Manager on the 7-Eleven account.

Ivar has over 28+ years of experience, the last 10+ with CTM, in electrical utility and retail/commercial designs.  Knowledgeable in electrical engineering projects from conception through to construction in areas such as substations, transmission lines, electrical distribution, commercial/retail buildings, and peripheral systems such as security, life safety (fire alarm and public address), voice/data communications, security/CCTV systems and IT.  Ivar is registered with the engineering associations of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut.

With 10+ years at CTM, James has provided leadership within the design team related to architectural design based on his diplomas and certificates from SAIT and his 8 years’ experience with several local architectural firms.  Recently his efforts have focused on project management for several of our larger clients with exceptional results.

Jin obtained her master’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and has 16+ years of experience with CTM as a Mechanical Engineer and head of the Mechanical Department.  Her focus is on the detailed design of HVAC, plumbing, and drainage systems for all of CTM’s clients. Through exposure to CTM’s large base of national clients, Jin and her team are highly effective at the interpretation of regional design requirements for various facility types.

Jin is registered with the engineering associations of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, NWT, and Nunavut.

Jonathan brings a diverse skill set to CTM and our clients with extensive experience as a Design and Construction Project Manager and Structural BIM Technologist. Jonathan has helped successfully guide a wide range of projects over the past 15+ years working on projects across Western Canada: from Tenant Improvements, Commercial Developments, and Large Re-branding Programs for several of CTM’s clients including; Husky Energy, Parkland Corporation, Shell, and Federated Co-op.

Throughout his career, he’s been involved in various project types including private, municipal, and provincially funded retail, institutional, educational, and aviation industries.   He is a registered Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Certified Engineering Technologist through The Association of Science and Technology Professionals of Alberta (ASET).

Patricia is a master planner with over 15 years of local and international project management experience in Canada and Venezuela. She’s worked in a diverse range of sectors, including industrial, commercial, logistics and engineering design from initiation through closing. Patricia is skilled in planning, managing and controlling project budgets and schedules in a safe and professional manner. She received her Project Management Certificate from Mount Royal University in 2008 and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®).

Sheryl brings much needed structure to each and every project. Literally and figuratively. Sheryl has over 10 years of experience in structural design and engineering on a wide spectrum of building types in a variety of sectors – from retail to petroleum. Her repertoire includes facilities for Shell Canada, Calgary Co-op and Federated Co-operatives. Sheryl is registered with the engineering associations of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

Tora is a PMP-certified professional project manager with experience driving initiatives, facilitating stakeholder communication, and comes with a well-rounded skill set for managing projects.  She balances team collaboration and motivation with project oversight and cost controls while recognizing the importance of coordination, communication, and time management to ensure successful project completion.

With 20+ years of experience working with major retailers, property developers, and contractors, Tora understands that no single approach is right for every initiative; she is always learning and seeking new perspectives and ideas.

Outside of work, Tora enjoys spending time with her dog Bow, swimming, and reading.  She values the time she spends with her family, particularly her three adult children who inspire her to be her best self every day.

Yvonne brings an experienced background of municipal engineering and stormwater management to her role as Civil Engineer to CTM Design Services Ltd. with 25+ years of experience in residential, commercial, and industrial civil engineering design, site servicing, stormwater management, erosion, sediment control plans, and low impact development design.  Yvonne has been actively involved in the project management for infrastructure and commercial service industry projects where her well-rounded experience has been key to the success her projects. Yvonne is a registered professional engineer within Ontario and all western provinces.

With over 12 years of experience with CTM, Akhtar combines his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Southern Illinois University with SAIT’s electrical design program.  He has designed power, data, lighting, security, fueling, utilities, and EV charger systems for most of CTM’s major clients including PetroCanada, Parkland, Canco Petroleum, Shell, FCL, and other independent operators.  Akhtar is registered (2012) with Apega.

Akshada Puppal has a bachelor’s degree in architecture along with a master’s degree specializing in climate responsive architecture. She also has an Architectural Technologists Diploma from SAIT. She is registered with the Alberta Association of Architects as an Intern Architect.

With 10+ years’ experience, she has taken part in evaluating site potential, preliminary design sketches, building permit, tender and construction drawing packages. Her broad knowledge of Building Code, Land Use Bylaws, construction methods and Building Science has helped her design and develop a wide variety of building types including multi-unit residential developments, commercial, mixed-use, recreational buildings, industrial and hospitality.

With nearly 25 years of experience in a wide range of administrative positions, 18+ with CTM, Angela combines her administrative skills and accounting knowledge with project coordination that includes permitting, procurement, tender and bid documentation, schedule management, and supporting Project Managers with administrative functions and processes.

Angela has her Project Management Extension Certificate & Principles of Construction Documentation.

Anna has worked at CTM for more than 17 years. She was previously employed at Haworth as an AutoCAD Technician and at TransCanada International as an Office Coordinator. Anna graduated from Mount Royal College with an Interior Design Diploma, and SAIT with Architectural Drafting Certificate and Revit Essentials Certificate of Completion. Anna has completed the NCIDQ Certification (National Council for Interior Design Qualification) and is registered with IDA (Interior Designers of Alberta) and recently completed Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification Training.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Design from the University of Washington in Seattle, and a diploma in Architectural Technology from SAIT.

Ben has on-site construction management experience gained from overseeing a large-scale condominium project in South Korea. He has worked on multiple large-scale retail/commercial projects including several grocery store renovation projects for Safeway and Sobeys.  He has been involved in all facets of design and permitting from concept, development permit, building permit, tender, and construction drawing sets for various clients.

Damian Walusz is a skilled electrical engineering professional who recently joined the CTM team. With eight years of experience in electrical building design, Damian has expertise in power distribution, controls, communication, lighting, fire alarm, and security systems. He is experienced in using technical calculations and software for lighting analyses, load calculations, and power system design.

Throughout his career, Damian has worked on a diverse range of projects, including hospitals, schools, medical clinics, government building offices, commercial retail spaces, and recreational centers. His ability to approach each project with a unique perspective and adapt his skills to meet the specific requirements has made him an expert in the industry.

Damian’s work reflects a high level of technical and professional expertise, and he is dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions that meet his clients’ needs. He is responsible for ensuring that all of his designs meet established project criteria and applicable industry standards of Canadian Electrical Code, building codes, and energy codes.

As a registered C.E.T. with ASET, Damian is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in his field. With his passion for engineering and his commitment to excellence, Damian is a valuable addition to the CTM team. He works collaboratively with clients and colleagues to ensure that every project is completed to the highest standard. His attention to detail, technical skill, and professional approach have earned him the reputation of a respected member of the engineering community.

Debbie Lam is a Senior Architectural Designer with nearly a decade of experience at CTM Design Services. She graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a diploma in Architectural Technologies and joined CTM as a Junior Architectural Designer in 2014.

Debbie brings architectural visions to life using her strong skills in AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Adobe Photoshop. Her portfolio includes a wide range of projects, from re-branding to renovations and new builds for prestigious clients like Husky Energy, 7-Eleven, Daiso, and Parkland Corporation.

As a project lead, Debbie manages new build and tenant improvement projects, creating detailed architectural drawings with AutoCAD, coordinating with different disciplines, and conducting thorough reviews of drawing sets. She also offers technical support to General Contractors and performs architectural-related site inspections, ensuring seamless project execution during tender and construction phases.

Currently, Debbie leads projects for Parkland Corporation and Daiso, consistently delivering exceptional services from project inception to construction.

Ed has been with CTM since 2006 in the role of designer for many of our major clients. He has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and various specialty training in process piping and design. Also, he took a few courses on building maintenance/operations & electrical principles. He contributes to both our architectural design services and our civil and site engineering services. From design development conceptualization to permitting & construction stage, focusing on site plan developments, general arrangements of buildings and support services, making sure that local by-laws & codes will be followed in the design process. Prepare, design & support on civil related works such as grading plan, erosion sediment controls, storm water management of different project scale both existing and green sites in tandem with engineers and fellow designers.

Erik has his Architectural Technology Diploma from NAIT combined with ten years of experience in retail management providing insights into our retail design work from the operations perspective.  In addition, he brings to CTM several years’ experience with an Edmonton architectural firm.

Ferdie brings his bachelor’s degree in architecture with over ten years’ of diverse experience encompassing a variety of design scopes, delivery models and complexities. He has worked on a wide range of projects for local and international clients in retail, residential, industrial, commercial and institutional projects. He also has three years plus related to project coordination for modular buildings construction.

Ferdie has been involved in various stages of design from concept, presentation and construction drawings, as well as permitting and coordinating with various cities and municipalities. Proficient in Revit and BIM 360, he loves to draw by freehand and is always willing to share his knowledge with his colleagues.

Ian has a broad background in building construction, including comprehensive electrical design, project and trade management for both residential and commercial projects.  Based on his Architectural Drafting and Design education from NSCC, Institute of Technology in Halifax, he added courses from SAIT that include; Masters Code and Applied Theory (Electrical), Interprovincial Code and Applied Theory (Electrical) among other various electrical industry courses.  19+ years of building construction experience started with electrical drafting for AMEC in Halifax, leading to electrical design for ATCO and several engineering firms in Calgary.

Jack is a highly qualified Mechanical Designer with a broad range of experience in engineering design, drafting and 3D modelling of mechanical building systems, including HVAC, heating & cooling  and plumbing systems for residential, commercial, institutional and industrial (Oil & Gas) projects. Jack joined CTM in 2016 and is a Certified Engineering Technologist – ASET and ASHRAE member.

Jaron is a BSc Civil: Structural and Transportation Engineering and Architectural Technologies graduate with knowledge of project management, building engineering and design, and the National Building Code, alongside extensive drafting and modeling experience in AutoCAD and Revit.

Jason McGinn joined CTM in a project and company administrative role.  Jason has twelve years’ experience with several contractors in the construction, engineering and consulting industries, fulfilling the combined roles of accounting and bookkeeping, project management and information technology administration.  He is also a graduate of the Information Systems Security program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).

With 17+ years at CTM, John is an accomplished designer who has contributed to mechanical and plumbing designs for all our major clients. He built his experience based on his Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma from SAIT.  John specializes in designing plumbing and drainage systems for retail/commercial spaces and has experience working with standards for corporate clients and designing systems for independent clients.

Jonathan brings both a Bachelor of Mathematics and an Architectural Technologies Diploma to CTM.  He also has 4+ years’ experience as a VDC Coordinator (Virtual Design and Construction) with a major construction firm in the Calgary area.

Kristine started at CTM in 2013 and is currently a Senior Designer and project lead. Prior to joining CTM, she worked at Dialog and MQN Architects (Vernon, BC) as a project lead and architectural technologist. Working on various projects from an assisted living health care facility, hotels, firehalls to LEED gold accredited multiplex arena for the Moose Jaw WHL Hockey team and elementary schools.

She has her Diploma of Architectural Technology from SAIT and two years in the Interior Design Program at Mount Royal University. Kristine has achieved her LEED accredited profession and has participated in various projects to achieve LEED status. During her time with CTM, Kristine has worked on various projects, most notably the 7-Eleven design and construction program.  She has also worked with numerous clients, which include Canco Petroleum, Tim Hortons, UFA, and McDonald’s. Kristine offers her building science technical knowledge and skill, ability to work well with others, and strong work ethic to every project.

Martin has been with the CTM team since 2007 focussing on petroleum design. He brings 18 years of drafting experience and 8 years of site audit experience to the table. Martin’s projects have included both industrial and commercial design for many petroleum clients including Husky, 7-Eleven, Parkland, Suncor, and Esso.

Mike has a 3-year college diploma in Engineering Technologies and 14 years of industry experience. Mike is a senior mechanical designer with experience designing complete mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial, institutional, residential, and recreational facilities, ranging from 200 m² to 30k+ m². Mike also has extensive experience as a BIM manager, implementing standards to improve project delivery and quality.

Nicole started with CTM in 2011 and is currently a Senior Designer. Prior to joining CTM, she worked at Haworth for 6 years as an Architectural Design Specialist. She has her Diploma in Interior Design & Merchandising (DIDM) as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, which aids in understanding how people interact with the spaces she designs.

In 2019, Nicole became NCIDQ certified, an intern member of the Interior Designers of Alberta, and completed her Revit Essentials Certificate from SAIT.

Nicole has worked for a variety of clients including Tim Hortons, Parkland, Shell Canada, FCL, McDonald’s, and 7-Eleven, contributing to all aspects of a project, including site & landscaping design, layouts & building design, and construction administration & support.

After completing the Architectural Technologies program at SAIT, Paul joined CTM as a Junior Architectural Designer in 2015. Initially providing architectural drafting and design support to a multi-site renovation program, Paul was able to work closely with CTM Engineers and Senior Designers to expand his knowledge across disciplines, gaining experience in Site, Civil and Petroleum design. This experience has allowed him to now provide a wide range of support across projects for multiple clients. Currently, Paul provides Lead Architectural Design services to clients, working with them to define conceptual site and building designs, to then see those designs take form through to the construction and completion of successful projects.

Reynaldo has a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree along with BIM Modelling and Construction Standards in Canada training.  He has combined 10+ years’ experience with architecture firms in the Calgary area.  He has experience with bylaw and building code analysis on several projects in BC (2018 BCBC), Calgary and North Alberta (NBCAE 2019) including the Northwest Territory (NBC 2015). Also familiar with DEP Specs guidelines while working on some electrical substation projects in Kitimat.

Outgoing and motivated Mechanical E.I.T. with over 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems, Said recently received his designation as a professional engineer and is registered in British Columbia.

With ten plus years as an Electrical Technologist, Trinh brings experience working with circuiting power, lighting, panel load calculations, and sizing conduit and wire. She is familiar with petroleum gas stations, banking, offices, retails, restaurants, medical and base building projects for electrical building systems.

Amongst other qualifications, Trinh obtained her Mechanical Engineer Technology Diploma from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.

Xiangdong brings over 20 years architectural experience in Canada, having worked with several large well-known firms since 2003. He has extensive design experience with large scale projects including commercial, residential, institutional, healthcare, and industrial. Xiangdong is highly detail oriented and specializes in custom design, building code and technical detailing. He is registered as an architect in both Alberta and British Columbia.

Zsofia is an Architectural Technologist, specializing in whole project design and completion through construction. Zsofia has been with CTM for over five years, and prior to joining CTM worked with an international firm focusing on large commercial projects. She has worked with a wide range of clients providing Architectural design lead support, as well as Petroleum, Structural and Mechanical drafting.
